Nuclear fusion has been impossible mission for scientist for last 100 years but 21st century seems to be century of great technological achievements and scientific discoveries.

National Ignition Facility in California will try to ignite nuclear fusion reactor which is popular name gave by media "Man-made star".

Project is about $1.2 billion dollars and scientist believe that if experiment go well, it will be an end to energy problems for humanity.

If they make success to build nuclear fusion reactor it could be end to usage of coal and other similar energy sources that have very bad influence on our environment.

“We are creating the conditions that exist inside the sun,” Ed Moses, the director of the facility, told reporters.

It is planed to launch reactor in spring in 2009.

News about this experiment triggered a lot of discussion as well as LHC project and many amongst eco-activists society are not so friendly with ideas like this and some of them says that they are very Worried about consequences of eventually unplanned happenings during experiments.
