Russian Federal Space Agency Roskosmos has announced that it successfully sent six satellites into Earth's orbit yesterday.
All six satellites were carried by the rocket carrier Dnepr blasted off from the Baikonur Space center, Kazahstan.
Satellite carrier was carrying "satellites of various purposes" for the United Arab Emirates, Spain, United States and United Kingdom, Roskosmos announced. Announcement from Roskosmos.ru page: Conversional intercontinental ballistic missile RS-20 successfully lifted off from Baikonur`s pad 109 (experimental underground launch pad) today, on July 29, at 22:46. RS-20 orbited 6 spacecraft for foreing customers: - remote sensing DubaiSat-1 (UAE)- 190kg, - high-resolution imaging Deimos 1 (UK and Spain)-90kg, - emergency monitoring UK-DMC 2 (UK)-96.5kg, - telecommunication Nanosat 1B (Spain)- 22kg, - low-orbit communication AprizeSat 3, AprizeSat 4 (USA)- 12kg each.
