Egyptian archaeologists have found two 4,300 years old tombs located in southern Cairo.
Secretary general of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiques has announced that this was major important discovery at Saqqara.
"We announce a major important discovery at Saqqara, the discovery of two new tombs dating back to 4,300 years ago", he said to reporters.
Tombs have been found in old cemetery in Saqqara, located about 30 kilometers southern of Cairo.
Tombs are located near El-Deir bridge, about 400 meters away from step-pyramid.
Archaeologist confirmed that one of these two tombs belongs to Iya-Maat, supervisor of king Una's missions to bring stones and other building materials from Western Desert.  Foto by Reuters
