Dutch media reported on Monday that a 40,000 year-old human bone has been landed by a fishing boat trawling for mussels off the Dutch coast.
Anthropologists from the Leipzig University in Germany were examining the bone and they had confirmed that it is at least 40.000 years old.
This is the oldest human bone ever found underwater. Researcher also found a "tool kit" in same location, consisting of a hand-axe flints.
Scientists from Leipzig University said that this human was living on the land, despite the fact that his bone were found under the sea. |
