Dubai: World's first cloned camel Print E-mail

The authorities of United Arab Emirates announced on Tuesday they have their own version of the Dolly sheep, or that the local scientists in this month the first time succeeded to clone camel. They claim that camel is cloned in Dubai.

"This is first cloned camel in the world", said scientist Nisar Wani.

AFP said that cloned camel was named Injaz which means discovery. Scientists worked more than 5 years on this project and camel was born in 8 april.

Scientists used DNA from other camel who died in 2005.
